Transfer Students. The applicant who has prior training in cosmetology,
barbering, esthetics and/or manicuring and wishes to complete training
in our school must first fulfill the admission requirements above. Vancouver
School of Beauty will accept credit hours earned by the student in other
institutions under the following conditions:
1. Student provides a signed transcript prepared by the institution.
2. All transcripts show the name of the training institution on them.
3. Student understands that VSB requires transfer students to take a practical exam to determine the amount of hours to be transferred. (Student required to purchase Washington State Board Exam book.)
Note: All hours from previous schools may not be acceptable. Only those hours which are applicable to the State of Washington will be considered.
Transfers are handled somewhat differently for in-state, out-of-state, and out-of-country transfer students:
In-State
Transfers Students. The student who transfers within the state
must submit a valid transcript of hours and grades, prior to beginning
school. Transcripts will be not accepted after you have enrolled, unless
noted in the signed contract. The student will then be evaluated and placed
in the appropriate training category.
Out-of-State
Transfer Students. Students from out of state who move to Washington
must submit a valid transcript of hours and operations of prior training,
which will then be assessed by this school. Previous hours and operations
for said transfer student will accepted as approved by this school and
appropriate credit shall be given.
Out-of-Country
Transfer Students. Students from other countries must have their
transcripts signed by a notary and translated into English, prior to being
accepted by this school.
Note: This school does not recruit students who are currently registered with, enrolled in, or attending another school.
