VSB graduate Kristi Killam has found an exciting new career as a hair stylist at Julian's Salon.

“My name is Kristi. I'm 20 years old I love fashion, beauty, camping, and hot weather! I graduated from Skyview High School in June of 2005. After my summer I started attending Vancouver School of Beauty. While I attended I got awesome color classes from the Wella Corporation, great cutting and styling classes from numerous franchises in the area, and a ton of hands-on training.

I would say I was most impressed with how well the school prepares you for the Washington State Boards Test. I had intense training on what to do for the test, and when I got my date for boards I was more than ready. The instructors there are great and they all come from different places (California, Washington) so you always get a variety when you are learning, which is great for this industry.

I had a great experience at Vancouver School of Beauty. They are flexible and all about giving you all the training you need and more. I graduated in October 2006, and not more than a few weeks later I got a job at Julian's Salon. I wouldn't be able to do all that I can if it wasn't for my great training and learning to be professional in school. Thank you Vancouver School of Beauty.”
